Do you love yourself?

Most of us struggle to say “Yes”.


In our journey we often forgive others, show compassion to others, yet, the one person we forget is ourselves. We constantly berate, judge and criticize ourselves for everything, be it our actions, physical body, our reactions in relationships.


Use your sense to heal yourself?


Eyes

How do you see yourself? Try to go back to all the images of your life from childhood to adulthood. The images can bring a lot of joy and also a lot of emotions like fear, sadness, and grief. Ask the divine to send you healing pink light. Let this pink light surround all these images and ask that they be transmuted to love.


Hear – Start with the simple question? How do I hear myself? What messages do you hear every day? The messages of criticism, negativity or those of healing? Write these down so that you are aware of what you hear about yourself most of the time. Find a quiet time and place, bring this paper out, now listen to these messages, start breathing, ask the breath to release these messages for you. Ask the divine light to send healing to these messages. Also, spend time listening to sounds of nature, chants, gentle music be it vocal or instrumental.


Smell – Do you smell fear whenever you wake up thinking of your day? Or is it grief which haunts you? Even though there will be times in life when life will look difficult, the path unknown, I want you to get up and walk around nature. Smell the flowers, trees, fruits if possible. Take a shower with a gentle soap, burn incense to heal your surrounding and yourself.


Speech – How do you talk to yourself when you are alone? Remove harsh language from your speech when possible, e.g. Just for today say I won’t use the F word.

Taste – Like smell, what do you taste during the day? Fear, anger, irritation or love or a mix? A good way to change the taste is to change your food habits. Drink and eat what makes your cells happy rather than sad. Eat raw, and freshly cooked food, drink water to heal and purify yourself.


Finally, for all that you have created around you, be it work, relationships and your way of life, be compassionate towards it and forgive yourself for your mistakes.
